Movlo - Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Overview
Movlo ("the app", "we") is a voice dictation app built for personal use. This page explains what data the app processes and how.
Core principle: everything stays on your device
Movlo has no server of its own and does not transmit any of your data to the developer or third parties. All notes, settings, templates and the replacement dictionary are stored exclusively locally on your device, in the app's private folder.
Microphone and speech recognition
To turn speech into text, the app uses the standard Android speech recognition service (Google Speech Services) built into your operating system. Audio is processed by this system service under Google's own policies, not by Movlo's servers. If offline recognition is enabled on the device, audio may be processed entirely locally, without internet access.
The app does not record or store audio files - only the recognized text.
Permissions used
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) - for voice dictation.
- Internet (INTERNET) - required by Android's system speech recognizer for online mode; Movlo itself does not send data to its own servers.
Sharing data with third parties
Movlo does not collect, sell, or share any personal data with advertisers or analytics services. The app has no ads and no trackers.
When you use the "Share" button to send a note to another app (Telegram, email, etc.), the app you choose only receives the text you decided to share - this is the standard Android "Share" action, which you control personally.
Deleting your data
You can delete all app data at any time via Android Settings -> Apps -> Movlo -> Clear data, or simply by uninstalling the app.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
